On Tuesday 2nd July, FHS Regent’s Park hosted a wine tasting evening, celebrating the kindness and generosity of those who donated towards the development of our courtyard garden.

Parents across all years were welcomed by Sixth Form prefects and were offered raffle tickets and a glass of vintage Michel Gonet Grand Cru Champagne from Mesnil Sur Oger on arrival to the event.

After a special thank you speech from our Headmaster, we were introduced to the eventĀ’s special guest, Paul Bolt, who was to be our knowledgeable and witty chevalier. Attendees were educated on the various factors that influence the quality, price and taste of champagne and wine. Guests then sampled an array of expertly selected French wines, including a 2015 VirĆ© ClessĆ©, a 2016 Lalande de Pomerol, and a 2016 Lirac. The selection of wines was accompanied by a cheese and charcuterie board, kindly donated by the Parents’ Association.

Bringing the evening to an end, our Headmaster announced the winners of the raffle, the first prize being a luxurious hamper filled with a variety of delicious treats. Before parting ways, guests were served a sweet Muscat de Riversaltes from Domaine Perdrix.

Thank you to all those who joined us yesterday. Through your support and generosity, we have now raised over Ā£8,100 towards this initiative. We look forward to unveiling the new garden in the Autumn Term.
