On Thursday 12th May, 25 girls from Lower Fourth and Upper Fourth competed at the Westminster Schools Athletics Championships in Battersea Park against 11 other schools, including our good friends at Francis Holland, Sloane Square. A big congratulations to Reia Paskaralingham on 1st place in the 200m race, Natalia Jaffar on 3rd place in the 300m race, Imogen Brown on 2nd place in the 800m race, Julia Johnson and Katherine Peacock on 3rd and 2nd place in the 800m, Pippa Bethune on 2nd place in the long jump, Mira Iyer with 2nd place in the javelin and discus, and Stella Morrogh-Ryan on 2nd place in the shotput. A huge congratulations also to Ruby James and Katie Landau who competed in the Year 10 1500m race and came an amazing 1st and 3rd place, and all the girls who took part in both of the 4 x 100m relay races and came 1st place. We had a lovely day in the sun and definitely beat our good friends at FHS Sloane Square.
