The Upper Fifth enjoyed a taste of life as a Sixth Form student with the help of two FHS alumnae who returned to the School to speak at the Sixth Form Taster Day.
Class of 2021’s Annie Harrison and Sofia Franco from the Class of 2022 (also former Head Girl) returned to Linhope House this afternoon, joining current Sixth Form students for an FHS Sixth Form Q&A session.
After a brief introduction from Ms Williams, alumnae Annie and Sofia introduced themselves to the Upper Fifth alongside guest Sixth Form speakers, keen to impart their new-found wisdom to their Upper Fifth counterparts, before being spilt into smaller groups for a Q&A session. Annie, who is studying Linguistics at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, answered questions from students keen to learn about the Oxbridge application process, and life as a student at Cambridge. Currently studying Psychology at University of Bath, Sofia commented that she had learnt to appreciate her FHS education as an alumna, while taking questions from her group.
The Q&A session came at the end of a busy day for the Upper Fifth, who had spent the day in Linhope House experiencing life first-hand as a Sixth Form pupil. They discovered the merits of Sixth Form education at FHS, enjoyed lunch in the Linhope canteen, and explored six different subject taster sessions.
With thanks to Annie, Sofia and our Sixth Form pupils for taking the time to enlighten and advise our enthusiastic Upper Fifth!
