For the 8th year in a row, on Wednesday 13th June several students of Italian in the Upper Fourth attended a cookery masterclass at La Cucina Caldesi.
The group had learnt about food, Italian cuisine and eating habits as part of their syllabus so this was an excellent, as well as rewarding, educational experience to conclude the current academic year. The chef Stefano demonstrated how to make ravioli with a butter and mint sauce and a season-appropriate dessert, mascarpone with strawberries. Everything from scratch and all in Italian. The girls had a chance to have a go at making pasta using exclusively genuine Italian ingredients. The girls proved to be quite skilful in the kitchen and they undoubtedly enjoyed the food-tasting session that followed!! Da leccarsi i baffi!
