On Monday 26th September, we had a lively and informative chat with the BAFTA-nominated film and television director, Coky Giedroyc, who came to speak to the Sixth Form about her career and the challenges of becoming a successful female director in a male-dominated industry.
For this lecture session, four girls volunteered to form a panel to ask Coky specific questions on behalf of the Sixth Form. These girls have a keen interest in entering the film industry. This talk was extremely insightful as we learnt how to be manage challenging situations when in a position of authority and about the differences between working in television and film. We were also lucky enough to watch clips of Coky’s work. We all left feeling inspired and wanting to pick her brains further!
