On the 28th May, the FHS Swim Team met in Gatwick Airport excited to arrive in Tenerife, we boarded our 4 hour flight and arrived late that night to hotel Jardin Caleta in the south of the island. The next day we had a catamaran trip where we saw both dolphins and whales. In the afternoon we had training with our coach Nico and when we saw the 50-metre pool we were shocked (it was much bigger than the 12.5 metre pool in our school!) and we were very nervous about the gala that we were competing in the next day. The gala turned out to be a very fun day full of new experiences and we all stepped out of our comfort zones racing in strokes we normally wouldnāt do. The next day we had early morning training followed by a delicious lunch and then we went to the beach. It was great fun and we played beach volleyball and had amazing sorbets. Afterward we went shopping. We spent our last day at amazing water park called Siam Park. We went on loads of rides and I enjoyed the Tower of Power drop where we went around 80mph. Finally our trip had to come to an end and we went back to the airport. It was slightly chaotic with a missing phone a few minutes before meeting to get on board but luckily we managed and we arrived home early in the morning.
