UIV student Ella MacKinnon has been chosen as Runner Up ‘Environment Journalist of the Year’ in The Day’s Global Young Journalist Awards for her outstanding article on preventing climate change. Entitled ‘The Positive Motivation to Prevent Climate Change is Waning‘, Ella discusses how no one is too small to make a difference, and seemingly insignificant actions such as recycling plastic bottles can contribute to preventing climate emergency.
