On Friday 8th October, the whole School descended on Regent’s Park for the return of the famous, annual Sponsored Walk.
Donned in fancy dress, each year group arrived at the park for their staggered start time. The Thirds (Year 7) arrived first dressed in their best Disney attire to start the afternoon of walking! Amazingly dressed dogs were collected from enthusiastic parents as the walking got underway. As each year group came through to start, all manner of fancy dress themes were visible, from Pirates to Cowgirls, Fairies to children’s book characters!
Brightly dressed FHS students stood out all around the park as the each year group completed one lap, then two! Some of our keenest Thirds completed four full laps!
Our Head Girls’ Team were on hand to help with the Help Fund Committee having the particularly difficult job of judging the cutest dog competition.
All proceeds from this year’s Sponsored Walk are to be donated to SANE – a UK mental health charity working to improve quality of life for people affected by mental illness.
