It was a real pleasure to have John Hoskison at FHS as guest speaker on our Lecture Programme.

John Hoskinson is a professional golfer whose world was shattered when he hit and killed a cyclist. He received a 3-year sentence and served in some of the toughest prisons in the UK.

With extreme honesty and humility, John talked about his golfing career and the extreme highs and lows of his life. He shared some advice on how to remain strong and positive even in the most difficult circumstances and his message was uttered loud and clear: a silly mistake can determine the course of your life. He urged our students not to take unnecessary risks and not to drink and drive.

You could have heard a pin drop. Our students asked some very sensible questions on prison sentencing and life in jail.
