On Monday 5th December, Dr Eric Langley (UCL) provided UVI English Literature students from both our school and our sister school Francis Holland School, Sloane Square, with a fascinating lecture on John Webster’s bloody revenge tragedy ‘The Duchess of Malfi’, which both cohorts are studying as their set A Level English Literature texts. The lecture was on the theme of ‘Surveillance and Sexuality’ in Webster’s play, giving students from both schools a deeper critical insight into the Jacobean text ahead of their upcoming exams. Thank you Dr Langley for visiting us!
