On Thursday 10 October, we were delighted to open our doors to over 450 prospective parents and pupils for our annual Senior School Open Day. With classroom activities in full swing, families were first invited to tour the School and try their hand at a smorgasbord of exciting subject-based tasks and challenges. From tumble turn practice in the pool and VR headset demos, this was an opportunity for prospective pupils to meet subject teachers and current students, as well as getting a glimpse into life and learning at Francis Holland, Regent’s Park.

Following their tours our Head, Mrs Woodcock, addressed prospective families in the Hall. Mrs Woodcock was joined by the Head Girl, My-Anh, Deputy Head Girl, Bon Eve, a panel of Lower School students and the Chair of our Parents’ Association, Mr Taylor, who all in turn offered their unique perspectives on what makes our School so unique.

It was wonderful to see the School so buzzing with prospective families, with one parent praising the School’s ‘friendly environment’ and another saying that, ‘we came away from the afternoon was that FHRP is very proud of its community and the opportunities it provides to modern young girls as they become educated young women. We also felt very welcomed and cared forā€¦our tour guide was sensational and gave us a sense of the type of young women that thrive at FHRP. The event was superbly well organised! Probably the best school tour weā€™ve been on!’

Thank you also to those visiting pupils who asked our panel fantastic questions in each of our three Q&A sessions.

Thank you to all who joined us for another wonderful Open Day. We already look forward to welcoming our next cohort of Thirds in September 2025!
