This week is Refugee Week. During Monday’s assembly, myself and three Lower Sixth students had the privilege of raising awareness around the issues refugees experience in their search for safety.

Our presentation included information on the global increase of displaced individuals, as well as what life is like for asylum seekers in the UK. I shared my personal passion for refugee rights and discussed my involvement with the charity organisation, Care4Calais. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the work we do and to thank everyone who fundraised for this cause by purchasing a house t-shirt.
