On Wednesday 17th April, FHS held their annual Parents’ Association Quiz Night. It was my first time attending and it was a lovely last event to partake in at the School as I approach my A levels. The kitchen went all out with the dinner, with everything from cocktail sausages to brownies, to cheesy breadsticks dipped in pink beetroot hummus. They also graciously gave out five bottles of wine to each table, which was much appreciated by all those attending. The Sixth Formers were only given two bottles, but we made it work!
Mr Clayton, who has hosted the event for years but who sadly left us at the end of last year, amazingly came back to host for us once again and graced us with a wonderful array of questions catering to all areas of general knowledge. The Sixth form team particularly excelled at the music round (identifying which movie different songs were from), but sadly we were no match for the adults when it came to the geography section. The winning team were each given a box of chocolates, but the best prizes were the wooden spoons given to the loosing table (Sixth Form came second-to-last and we were very sad we missed out on said spoons).
Overall it was a lovely evening with food, good questions and great company, make sure to get your tickets for next year!
