On Wednesday evening this week, sixty Francis Holland families gathered around their computer screens for a guided online cheese tasting. During the day on Tuesday each home had taken delivery of a cardboard box containing six different carefully wrapped British cheeses. Our cheesemonger for the evening was Head of Education at La Fromagerie on Marylebone High Street, Max Melvin, who was both knowledgeable and entertaining.

Mr Fillingham, who worked on the cheese counter at Gateway’s Supermarket every Saturday throughout his Sixth Form said, “It was a real education. I undoubtedly learned more about cheese in 60 minutes than I did in two years on the deli counter. A fun evening which highlighted the strong community that we have at Francis Holland, Regent’s Park.”
