This week, our LVI engineers visited an engineering company as part of their Industrial Cadet Gold Award. Now in its fourth year at FHS, the programme partners up teams of 4-6 year 12 pupils with mentors in engineering companies, giving them a real-world engineering problem to solve over the course of 7 months. The program culminates with a written technical report, a model of their project and a presentation to a panel of external engineers. Part of the programme involves a company visit.
On Thursday 9th March, our team visited PCS Instruments in West London. PCS Instruments design and manufacture laboratory instruments for testing fuels and lubricants. The team went on a fantastic tour of the company, gave a presentation to a panel of Engineers and was given feedback on their project. It was an excellent day out!
