Four girls from the Lower Sixth took part in the Lady Eleanor Holles School ‘Model United Nations’ over the weekend.
Kate, Ella, Maya and Lara all enjoyed the challenge of representing Italy in debates covering a wide range of topics; the question of aging populations, the issue of the humanitarian situation in Syria and the question of the use of child soldiers in armed conflict, to name just a few.
The girls argued their positions with eloquence and enthusiasm, and worked hard throughout the conference to defend Italy’s position within the MUN.
