On the afternoon of Wednesday 7th February the Hall became a site of magic, mystery and mayhem as the Young Shakespeare Company treated all the Year 8 girls to a lively and exciting rendition of Macbeth.
Questions at the end demonstrated that the students had been inspired by dynamic new interpretations of the text – Lady Macbeth smothered by her husband, King Duncan getting too much into the party spirit – and everyone experienced the catharsis that Shakespeare intended as Malcolm’s last words restored order to Scotland.
