This year our annual Inter-House Drama Competition has been held online. The girls had a choice of tasks:
To perform a monologue from an existing play; adapt a scene from a favourite book or to create an original script using Shakespeare as a stimulus. We are also awarding a prize for the most imaginative costume.
Our winners are:
Best original script: Tilika Murray-Patel and Pippin Allright with a piece based on a trip to the theatre in Jacobean England.
Runner up: Juliet Violet Stevenson and Millie with āThe Gloveā, a modern take on Romeo and Juliet.
Best book adaptation: Orielle Garson-Sweidan and Natalie Choueka performing a scene from Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
Runner up: Athena Angelopoulos and Imogen Brown James performing a scene from James and the Giant Peach
Best monologue: Delaney Grey performing Miranda from The Tempest
Runner up: Pepper Cometti performing Debbie from Adamās Family Values
Best costume: Ilaria Martin Pagnotta and Helena Mayo performing a scene from A Midsummer Nightās Dream.
