On the afternoon of Tuesday 15th March, a group of Lower Fourth and Lower Fifth Latinists, accompanied by Mrs Packford, walked down to Queen’s College, Harley Street to participate in the London Greek and Latin Reading Competition.

The girls performed brilliantly and brought great credit to the school. Lorna Sibson and Charlotte Zeyssolff in LIVS won a silver medal in the Beginners’ Latin category, as did Saga Kjallgren and Riana Modi in LV in Beginners’ Greek, beating Westminster, South Hampstead and Channing. Courtney McNeil in LV was awarded a bronze medal in Pre-GCSE Latin and Sophia Reina in LV won a gold medal in the Open Latin category, and got a special mention in the judges feedback. Many thanks to Mrs Cohen and Mrs Wood for training the girls over the past couple of weeks.
