On Saturday 17th September, we were treated to a German Day with over 130 students attending from our school, our sister school Francis Holland School, Sloane Square, students from all over London and students from even as far away as Bristol! The day kicked off with a talk from Professor Bird on the film Angst essen Seele auf; I particularly liked when we learnt about the character Ali and his broken German compared to Emmyās perfect German. We participated in three sketches concerning a news report, job interview and a school sports day. We learnt fascinating German vocabulary and public speaking, and met new people. We ended the day with traditional German food, and my favourite was the paprika crisps, they were so lecker (delicious in German!).
