On 10th – 13th April, the 53 IGCSE Geography students went to the Lake District to learn new fieldwork skills and techniques to help them understand Paper 4.
The girls enjoyed a day of physical geography techniques, looking at changes of variables on a river, as well as seeing how sand dunes change the further inland. On the second day, the girls compared two urban sites – Lindale and Bowness-on-Windermere. They looked at differing land use patterns within these settlements, as well as how tourism impacts the environment, whilst enjoying a walk to the stunning viewpoint at Orrest Head.
Thank you to the girls on the trip for their excellent effort and behaviour!
