On Wednesday 17th May, we were delighted to welcome Dr Simon Hyde, General Secretary of the HMC (The Heads’ Conference), to FHS for a special visit. After meeting with our Headmistress Mrs Woodcock, Dr Hyde embarked on a tour of our school with three members of our Head Girl’s Team: Issy (Head Girl), Maya (Sixth Form Delegate) and Mona (President of the Help Fund). Dr Hyde was inordinately impressed with the scale of our Ivor Place site, and he was particularly amazed by the fact that exams were taking place in the Swimming Pool! The tour then progressed to our brand new state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre, Linhope House, with the girls proudly sharing with Dr Hyde how transformative the space has been for their Sixth Form experience.
