On Wednesday 3rd March, FHS welcomed the amazing Commonwealth gold medallist and England Roses netball player, Eboni Usoro-Brown.

Pupils and staff gathered on zoom for an inspirational presentation and Q&A with Eboni, who shared her incredible sporting story and journey of resilience with the audience. Eboni spoke about the numerous set backs she has faced in her career and the determination required to come back from them.

During the session, Eboni shared how she juggled her intense training schedule with full time work as a solicitor and a mother. Eboni also talked us through the success of winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2018, and the sweat and tears it had taken to get to that point.

Eboni shared expert tips, knowledge and words of wisdom to the young women on the zoom, who then went on to ask some excellent questions about Eboni’s career. Eboni showed the pupils at FHS that they are capable of anything if they persevere, follow their dreams and put in the work.

Thank you to the Mintridge Foundation for their work on this event. To read more about Eboni’s talk, click here.
