Getting active and staying healthy has never been so important, which is why the FHS PE Department have designed a number of challenges for you to get involved in!

The challenges are as follows:

Walk the English Channel – 21 miles 5 House points

Climb Mount Snowdon – 4610 sets of stairs* 10 House Points

Run Hadrian’s Wall – 90 miles 15 House Points

Cycle from London to Paris ā€“ 200 miles 30 House Points

Bonus House points will be awarded if you take part in more than one event:

Two events 5 bonus points

Three events 10 bonus points

All four events 20 bonus points

To take part in the challenge, all you need to do is log each time you go for a walk, a run, a cycle or climb the stairs. This can be done using a phone, Fitbit, app or tracker. There are lots of free tracking apps that can be easily downloaded on to your phone. You can keep track of how many stairs you climb using either a piece of paper or an Excel spreadsheet.

Once you have completed the event, please email your evidence to Laura.burroughs@fhs-nw1.org.uk by 6pm on 28th February 2021. Not only will you gain points for your House, you will also receive a Francis Holland medal!
