On Thursday 14th April, Mr Fillingham and nine students were invited to a wonderful event in Regent’s Park to thank the school for donating seven cherry trees to the park.
The restoration project, by the Royal Park’s Foundation, has reinstated 100 new cherry trees on Chester Road, which is one of the main gateways to the park. After visiting the park roughly six months ago to see the trees being planted, it was with great pleasure that we returned to Chester Road to see the trees in full bloom.
Mr Fillingham and the girls enjoyed a glorious afternoon in the sunshine, where there was an impressive display of cakes and pastries and a surprise display by the Grenadier Guards Band.
Francis Holland has had an incredibly strong link with the park throughout its 138 year history so we are extremely proud to be part of this project and we hope the trees will keep the park looking beautiful for many years to come.
