To celebrate the European Day of Languages, the MFL department organised a variety of events that happened throughout this week.

The highlights were the inter-house quiz competition, the cookery competition and the charity event Eurovision Song Contest, where each Language competes with a song that the students perform on stage… and the teachers embarrass themselves representing England! After a brilliant competition with entries from Italy, France, Germany, Spain and, of course, England, France and Italy were declared joint winners of FHS Eurovision 2021. Congratulations to all who competed and supported – a wonderful way to spend a Friday lunchtime!

All events were a great fun! We got the catering staff involved too and the girls had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious variety of European food with very nice decorations related to the countries every day.
