From Tuesday 7 January to Friday 10 January, pupils in the Thirds, Lower Fourth and Upper Fourth took part in DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) week which is designed to encourage them to build on their literary repertoire.
They could choose to read anything – fiction or non-fiction, books or newspapers – whatever interests them! The girls’ homework schedule was dropped for the week (much to their excitement!) and they were expected to submit a reading journal to the School Librarian to showcase what they had got stuck into throughout the week.
This scheme is a brilliant opportunity for pupils to explore our libraryās wide collection of books and learn more about themselves as readers.
