Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park’s annual Christmas Fair took place on Saturday 19th November and drew record numbers of visitors.

Thousands of pounds (around £4,500) was raised and all proceeds are to be split between the Swiss Cottage School (for children with special educational needs) and our own charitable cause the FHS Summer Camp (an activity week for local children run by FHS staff and pupils).

Traditional favourites such as Santa’s Grotto entertained the crowds along with the inflatable Surfing in the gym. The School Hall was bursting with stalls laden with jewellery, cashmere, stocking fillers, Christmas cakes, puddings and wreaths providing the perfect festive shopping opportunity. Even our very own Francis Holland chef’s handmade Christmas cakes were on sale. Lower Sixth Young Enterprise groups displayed their business skills by selling specially designed hoodies, jewellery and t-shirts.

Charles Fillingham, Headmaster, said, “This is my first Francis Holland Christmas Fair and I can’t thank the parents, pupils and staff enough for making it such a happy occasion and raising so much money for the charities supported by the Francis Holland Parents’ Association.”

Organised by the FHS Parents’ Association, the stalls were run by parents, girls, old girls and members of the local community. Chair of the Parent’s Association, Mrs Laurel Rafter said, “The FHS Christmas Fair is more popular than ever. The incredible selection of stalls offers something for all ages. It’s wonderful to see the girls get so involved making and selling beautiful Christmas gifts and entering into the festive spirit.”
