Pupil Nula Kenzie and Head of Science, Derek Ward, spoke on BBC Radio 5 Live yesterday evening.
BBC Radio 5 Live had a number of features yesterday on Space & Astronomy and specifically women astronauts or engineers who work at NASA (both in Texas and Florida Space centres) and for the European Space Agency.
In February some of our girls travelled to NASA with Stem Sisters – Visions in Education and won the competition. Nula and Derek were invited onto the show to discuss gender equality in the space industry and also why the number of girls taking STEM subjects at A Level and University is so low.
