During the Easter break 16 Lower Fifth Art and Spanish students enjoyed an enchanting trip to Barcelona accompanied by Miss Thomson and Mr Gridelli.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed their language lessons in the morning and they were enthusiastic to put what they had learnt to good use in the afternoon. The group were captivated by some of the most breath-taking architectural masterpieces by Gaudi such as Casa Pedrera, Parc Guell and La Sagrada Familia and they were enthused by the visit to the Picasso museum. Not only were the girls able to practise their Spanish conversation and develop their drawing techniques they were also able to appreciate the local culture and gastronomy and became skillful in eating churros con chocolate whilst wondering through the labyrinth-like streets in the Gothic quarter.
