This Thursday, St Cyprian’s Church was packed to the rafters with pupils, families and staff, for what turned out to be a truly wonderful Autumn Concert celebrating our musical marvels here at FHRP!

Throughout the evening, the audience was treated to a diverse range of performances, all of superb quality and musicality.

The evening opened with our full orchestra, playing the theme from E.T., before we enjoyed pieces by our newly formed Flute Group, String Quartets, both Junior and Senior Chamber Choirs, as well as two beautiful solo performances – Czardas on violin by Dominique (Year 10) and Janacek’s Andante Cantando ‘In the Mist’ by Daisy (Year 9), this year’s FHS Young Musician of the Year.

Finally, our Senior Chamber Choir – accompanied by Daisy (on the flute this time!) – filled St. Cyprian’s with a stunning sound to bring the evening to a close.

Congratulations to every single one of our fantastic musicians, to Ms Murphy our Head of Music, Ms Zarina and the rest of our magnificent Music Department for putting on such a glorious evening.

We are now looking forward to our drama production of ‘Into the Woods’ next week as well as our Christmas Carol Service soon afterwards!
