The open event season is officially underway!

This Thursday, we were delighted to welcome our current Upper Fifth students and their parents, as well as many prospective Sixth Formers to our 16+ Open Evening. A special thank you to all our prefects for guiding our guests, as well as two parents ambassadors who generously gave up their time to share their experience of having a daughter at Francis Holland, Regent’s Park.

The evening began with a showcase of our Sixth Form Centre, Linhope House, where pupils were offered guided tours of the building by prefects and given the opportunity to speak to some teachers about the co-curricular roles of responsibility that are available to our Sixth Form students, such as helping run the school’s Help Fund, or an introduction to the Head Girl’s team.

Next, we heard from our Head, Mrs Woodcock, and Head of Sixth Form, Miss Williams, to welcome parents and pupils and provide an in depth insight into the academic infrastructure here at FHS.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from two of our current Upper Sixth students, Head Girl My-Anh Nguyen and Anoushka Long, who both spoke wonderfully and from the heart about what they truly value in their Sixth Form experience at FHRP. A huge well done to both of them!

To wrap up a fantastic evening, our dedicated and passionate teachers offered subject presentations by department. There were also valuable insights into the Higher Education application process, along with the chance to explore the many other exciting opportunities available in our Sixth Form.

We hope that all who attended enjoyed the event and we hope to welcome many of the girls who attended the event to our Sixth Form next September!
