On Tuesday 4 March, the Physics Department hosted its third annual We Do Physics symposium, an event for girls studying A Level Physics. Pupils were invited from St Marylebone School, Camden School for Girls, and our sister school, FHS Sloane Square.

The day began with three power revision sessions led by the Physics Department, covering key topics to support pupils in their studies. This was followed by a fantastic lunch in the Hall.

After lunch, we were joined by female physicists from Imperial College London (Women in Physics | Faculty of Natural Sciences | Imperial College London) and Kingā€™s College London (Womxn in Physics). The team from Kingā€™s led a fun interactive activity, while Imperial student Amy Thornton gave a fascinating talk on her MSci research, The Future of Fusion.

The event concluded with a panel Q&A featuring all the visiting physicists, allowing pupils to ask questions and gain insight into studying Physics at university. A huge thank you to all the pupils, teachers, and visiting physicists who made the day such a success!
