To celebrate Pi Day, in Maths, we participated in a probability experiment that allowed us to estimate the value of pi.

We threw toothpicks at a piece of lined paper and recorded how many toothpicks touched the lines and how many didn’t. We then used a special formula to estimate the value of pi. The closest result was 3.06, the value of pie being approximately 3.14. Our experiment was highly successful!
