On Wednesday 11th October, The Upper Fourth girls and the Geography department went to Bournville in Birmingham.
They compared the environment and terraced housing in Stirchley to that around Bournville Village to see first hand what George Cadbury did to help his employees. To do this, they completed annotated field sketches and environmental quality surveys. They then learned about the history of chocolate during a tour around the Cadbury Factory, as well as enjoying the ride and eating a few free Cadbury bars!
