We hold a range of events throughout the year, the largest of which is our annual Quondam Lunch in November.
Every year Quondam organise a lunch, often preceded by a netball match, to celebrate the school's birthday. This year's will take place on Saturday 4th November 2017.
All alumni and former staff are welcome to attend a celebratory retirement party on Friday 23rd June held for current staff Felicity Forde and Sandy Bailey. Please RSVP via our online form.
The annual Quondam Lunch, attended by over 70 former pupils and staff, was held on Saturday 7th November 2015.
A volleyball match replaced the annual netball match which was cancelled due to torrential rain! Lunch followed the AGM which was a very special event as we launched the newly published FHS History book, called Polished Corners.
Thank you to all those old girls who attended our 2014 Quondam lunch on Saturday 8th November.
The Quondam netball match was a great success and was enjoyed by all. Even though it started to rain and everyone got just a little bit wet, in true Francis Holland style, we just got on with it and played. Ages ranged from 32 to 54 but everyone played brilliantly showing that they had not lost any of their skills from many years ago. Some Polished Corners had not seen each other for 28 years and met again because of this netball match! Mrs Forde's team were victorious, narrowly beating the team of '85, with the team of '89 in third place. Many thanks to Manuela Robson for organising the event and for Sue Drummond for umpiring.
New for next year is a Quondam rounders match in the summer term. More details will follow from Manuela.
Thank you to all those old girls who attended our 2012 Quondam lunch on Saturday 3rd November. Over 90 old girls attended, including girls from 1982, 1988 and many more year groups. The highlight of the occasion was the old girls' netball match which brought back many happy memories.
Thank you again, and please keep in touch via our new alumnae Facebook page!
